Stila ~ Tinted Moisturizer

I went to Sephora this weekend (mostly to escape the heat and surround myself with pleasant atmosphere and air conditioning lol) and ended up trying & buying Stila’s tinted moisturizer, thanks to my sister-in-law’s recommendation that it is a nice sheer coverage for everyday wear, has spf, is super light and non-greasy, and can also be used under my beloved Bare Essentials mineral makeup on days that I do put the stuff on.

so, my ultimate review is that it totally rocks, it was about 25 bucks, has some spf, and will indeed even out your skintone – even for me with some old acne scars, sunspots and recent chicken pox scarring. so happy day! Thanks again Staci!

Bare Escentuals Mineral Eyeshadow

Last week I went to Ulta and purchased a tub of BE’s Soiree which is a “glimmer” because I was wanting a really high intensity green that wasn’t too light or too dark for a photoshoot. What I ended up with was a soft kind of glittery effect that isnt what I was looking for at all. Does anyone have any suggestions or input? What is the difference between “glimmer’ and ‘shadow’? Is there a primer that will actually make the color more intense?

thank u kindly! :)

Bare Escentuals is available at select Macy’s

Too Faced Liqui-Fi eyeliner

Ladies!!!!

I just got this super nifty liquid eyeliner thing from Too Faced at Sephora…it’s a liquid liner that you dab on whatever eyeshadow you choose and it transforms it into a perfect match waterproof liner! I don’t know if I’m explaining it right so here is the info from the site:

“Magically transform your favorite eye shadow into a waterproof, smudge-proof liquid liner with this unique, clear liquid and built-in felt tip precision eyeliner brush. Imagine, a warehouse full of different eyeliner colors all in one little bottle! All those forgotten shadows at the bottom of your make-up drawer will be given “new life” as gorgeous new liners, and your favorite shadows will become your “only in my wildest fantasies, I can’t live without” lid liners!”

anyway – it totally works fabulous – and it wipes clean with just a tissue and NO cleaner needed! I am pretty excited about this and wanted to share :)

MAC Pigments

Due to the origin of MAC as a professional cosmetic line, and the wide range of clients (professional to general public) not all MAC products are designed with the average consumer in mind. This is often the case with many PRO products, as well as some pigments. The name pigment can be misleading, as they are not pure pigments, but rather highly pigmented multi-purpose loose color powders. Due to the pigments and dyes in some MAC pigments, they can be hazardous if used in various facial areas, mainly the eye or lip area.

you have to check which chemical compounds are actually being used in various pigments and then go from there. I usually mix mine with lotion, water or additional eyeshadow depending on what I am actually trying to achieve. they can be used in nail polish, lip gloss, lipstick, mascara, hair gel, as a loose eye shadow, as a loose blusher, as a loose highlighter, as a loose bronzer, as a body sparkle or body paint etc…

MAC stuff is available at Macy’s
