NeoSkin will Remove Butt Hair on the Run

Ok, so I know the title of this post is super funny, but I PROMISE you, the content is actually way more funny (but not in a literal funny way, more like a ‘oh that’s so foul’ kind of funny).

B recently got her bikini area waxed. During payment for the services, she was asked if she wanted an ‘extended bikini area’ done for a discounted price. I believe it was in the area of $100 or so, but I will get back to you on that one. Never one to turn down a discount, B the trooper said “sure!”, and then later on during one of our phone calls confessed that she didn’t really know what an ‘extended bikini’ treatment consisted of. And so we are here to tell you all…an Extended bikini laser treatment is when you get the HAIRS in your BUTT crack lasered off. Just a very random, yet highly important piece of information for you all out there who are intrigued by the discount services offered.

The Plot Thickens: B just texted me and told me that the whole series of treatments cost $500 and while she has yet to complete them, the establishment NeoSkin in Westlake has closed down. And she still has services scheduled! I checked the site Neoskin.com and found that the sites are down too. After a bit more googling, I found a few links from Mexico discussing numerous accounts of fraud:

Mexico says depilation fraud left clients plucked
Guadalajara Reporter
NeoSkin bankrupts?
NeoSkin Disappears
NeoSkin Customers ticked off on Yelp

So I guess that’s it…a sign of the times, perhaps? Who knows. But, you DO know what an ‘extended bikini line’ means in depilatory services language! And you are quite welcome for that tasty tidbit of information.

  1. Extended bikini is when they get the labial area of the bikini as well as your buttock area. Has anyone heard of fraud here in the US???

  2. yes, I have heard that the NeoSkin locations have closed down, but I also hear that on the voice mail, they say they are going through ‘renovation’ however, the business is located in Mexico, and in Mexico they have filed chapter 11, so I don’t know if another company is actually going to merge and acquire the closed locations here in the US, but I know alot of money has been lost from different people, and I do hope they at least get their services that they paid for, or at least a refund for the services they did not get…

  3. what the fuck! yes, I paid them upfront for services that are not yet complete. I thought something was strange when I didn’t get a call for my appointment that passed. How dare they take people’s money and not refund or even notify us about this! I have to find out from some thread on the internet! I am calling the better business bureau right now!

  4. Those Bastards!! The same thing happened to me today, here in Toronto Ontario. I received a call months ago that one of the locations that I went to closed and I had to be re-routed to another. I went today and the doors were locked with a For Lease sign in the window. Looking through the windows, it literally looked like they just got up and left yesterday, there was still files etc that I could see in the receptionist area.
I’ve paid those bastards over $1000 in advance (my stupidity!!!!) and have only received ONE treatment so far. I’ve called the Business Bureau and apparently Neoskin is not listed under them..which speaks volumes as is.
I’m a student paying for university, I especially do not have that money to waste!
If anyone knows anything more about what’s happening with it or how to get reimbursement, It’d be much appreciated if you could let me know! Thx :(

  5. Alicia Gonzalez says:

The same happened to me in Toronto, Canada. NEOSKIN is a fraud, I paid for a treatment and I only had 3 sessions.
If you go on Yelp there’s numerous people in the same situation than us. We are thinking to take a legal action and we are trying to find out how. Please keep in touch, we have to do something!!!

  6. Same thing is San Francisco – took the money and ran!

  7. there must be something that we can do to get a civil suit against the company, it seems it closes down in one place and opens in another, if no one get together to try and tract them down to make them accountable they will continue this scam.

  8. Same thing is happening here in Brazil!
Thay call us saying that the machine broke down and they’ll call back to make another appointment once the machines are fixed. But it’s been three months now, and this is going on all over the country! Oh, and we all had to pay upfront!
Just wanted to say they are a fraud, so tell everyone u know about them and i hope we all get our money back soon!

  9. I just want to let you know that the samething happend in San Antonio, Texas. I just paid for my treatments. Luckily it wasn’t as much as others paid. I called another location that was still open. The nurse told me a story about the two different partners getting upset with each other and they took all the information out of the building so they are excepting all those customers. I don’t know how true that is, it is very scary that businesses are just taking money like this and the U.S. is allowing this to happen. You know other countries to come in and start businesses and do this to U.S. citizens.I got treatment from the other location but after reading everything I’ve read I will not be surprised if it does close.

  10. I am shocked they can do somthing like this,I had payed them 600$ in advance and just had two sessions done.
Does any one knows what can I do to get my money back ?

  11. I also had an appt. with prepaid services and thought it was fishy that I did not get a reminder call. Therefore I called B4 going to get their directions to their new location in Westlake but found out the # had been disconnected. Does anyone know if we have any recourse. Laurie

  12. Still wearing for news here in Toronto, but everything looks the same.

  13. I know what happened. Neoskin stopped paying rent on thier locations untill they police arrived and took over with the property managers. Many of the employees were kicked out (not knowing what was going on) and the head people in Mission could not be contacted. Many even came back from lunch and were not allowed to retrieve thier things do to the police taking control of the property. They never recived thier pay checks and were told to just wait till the company re-opens. Every shop has closed except one in San Antonio and the the owners cant be touched becouse the owners are in Mexico. Canada, Mexico, Brazil, California, Texas………..Its happening with all thier stores. Just like Enron, they are trying to make as much as they can while the ship is going down. There is no revamping, it is just sinking.

  14. I really liked your blog! if you have more information elsehwere let me know.

  15. San Antonians beware – althought the Stoneoak clinic is taking on clients from other areas – they double sometimes triple books their clients and right now they are down to just one – yes folks that right just one operator – so guess what – 2-3 hours later you are still waiting and then they try to reschedule you to another day – meanwhile they are taking on new clients under a new business name and taking upfront payments……..

  16. is Stoneoak a new facility?

  17. Some more tips would be great. Any more information and experiences are appreciated.
