Tiger Balm for Sore Muscles

Tiger Balm has been around for as long as I can remember, but let me remind everyone, including myself how awesome it is!! It’s fantastic to use after a workout – AFTER showering, and right before bed. I got the best sleep and woke up without any muscle ailments that would inhibit me from moving comfortably the next morning.

Diana Vilchis, who is the BEST massage therapist who will come to your home and give you the bomb massage, uses Tiger Balm on my muscles after she is done with each section, which is just absolute heaven!

Mind you, I WAS sore, but not to the point of being unable to move, like I have been in the past. That’s my feel-good tip of the day for all of us fitness mamas! Tiger Balm comes in ointment form, rub form, extra strength, sports rub formula, pain relief formula

for more info on how to use Tiger Balm:

Ellnet Hairspray: Gold in a Can!

Remember good ol’ Elnet Hairspray from back in the day? French twists, beehives and celebrity photoshoots have depended on European based Elnet for decades. It’s finally available here in the US, and exclusively at Target – but here’s the catch: it’s not exactly the same formula as the original European Elnet, basically because there is a missing ingredient due to it violates US EPA safety standards. It’s still pretty good though, and you CAN comb through it once it has dried, and won’t leave any flakes.

I have thinning hair that comes with medication side effects, so this is nice spray that does infact add volume. It’s going to cost a pretty penny though, around $15 give or take.

Heads Up – Nourish Shampoo @ Trader Joes is Ok.

If you are looking for a recession-friendly shampoo (especially after reading my previous post about $50 hair products by Ojon lol) head over to Trader Joe’s and try out the Nourish line. It contains only organic products, doesn’t test on animals, and will only cost you $3 bucks.

Now keep in mind that all I said is that it is organic and will only cost you $3 bucks, I’m not claiming that it will make your hair fabulous…because it won’t. BUT if you are in the hole and need a budget friendly, soul-relieving cheapie, Trader Joes can provide it for you. It’s better than buying a potentially harmful shampoo for $3 at the drugstore that might test on animals. I’m just saying…

Ojon Restorative Hair Goop

For the record, I did end up buying the Ojon Hair hype. I got the 5 piece ritual kit, and I am glad that I did. I do really like the conditioner and the leave in spray treatment, but I’m still not sold on the goop. It might be that it is just too greasy for my hair type. Of course, since there is no way to store the cool looking tribal pick thing, I have already lost it so I have to use my fingers to jab into the salve. No biggie.

When you rub it together it forms a thick oil based sort of paste, and then you massage it into your hair/scalp and leave it in overnight if you can handle it. It smells like hair grease – the pink lady hair grease that doesn’t cost $55 bucks.

However, the packaging says that you can also use the Ojon hair goop on your body and cuticles for extra moisturising…I don’t think that pink lady can do that, but hey, for $55 something extra needs to be added on, don’t you think??
