Hair Serum
Ohh the tresses of life. I am a newly convert to the face serum, but I must tell you that I have been a follower and avid believer of the hair serum since the mid 90′s. Back then, the holy grail of product was Farrouk’s BioSilk, which regardless if my light bill was paid or not, I had at least 2 oz., a barrel brush and a blow dryer on hand. It wasn’t until I met Georgi B that I switched from Biosilk to Chi Silk Infusion – of which I bought a huge 12 oz bottle and only need a pea size amount before a blow out, hot rollers or flat iron. It totally kicks ass. I wear hair extensions and with the use of this stuff, I only have to replace the wefts every couple of years (I swear!).
Recently, Chastity suggested some Fekkai product (the apple cider clarifying shampoo which was fabulous) so I decided to try the Glossing creme too. I think I wrote a review of it saying it was a bit too heavy and oily for my hair type. Recently I tried out some of the Garnier serum, Frizzease, Marc Anthony and St. Ives and blah, it was pure garbage.
Chi Silk Infusion is the business. Word up.

Target Cool Item Alert!
Just got back from my neighborhood Target and spotted some Fekkai AND Purelogy in the hair aisle! Just a heads up
*edit* I’ve already gotten a couple of emails regarding this post and I’m so sorry but I don’t remember what the price points were for the items – I’m not sure if they are cheaper or whatever than Sephora, but probably a bit cheaper than getting them from Nordstrom or even Nordstrom Rack…have fun!

Arm Waxing – Hair Removal
I had my arms waxed friday and surprisingly it didn’t hurt as much as I thought it would. I’ve always had a problem with hairy arms, but hey, I’m Mexican – we all do, don’t we? Anyway – I headed to NailSpaLA in Chatsworth – (be sure to ask for Stacy – she rocks) for a quick zip and woo hoo I have smooooooth arms now! I kind of wish I would have figured this one out like 20 years ago…or even listened to my friend Brianette who used to get hers done regularly as recent as 4 (maybe 5?) years ago. So yay. smooth arms sofar – I wonder why my face breaks out but my arms stay super smooth? Hmmm. Next time I may drink some brave-aide and get my armpits waxed. LOLLLL!

I’ve got wavy hair that actually never ever looks right when I don’t put a gallon of product in it, and believe me, will NEVER look like the hair in this pic or any of these that are shown on NaturallyCurly.com photo gallery, but some of you might actually get inspiration from these styling samples and curly hair links. They also have a salon finder that may help you find a salon/stylist who specializes in curly hair.
For me, the only thing that works is either A. the blowdryer B. the hot roller or C. the flat iron.
thanks to Chaia for the link tip on her blog!! Hope you found a good stylist – and if you did, be sure to share the info
