Here, here! Remember that entry I made about Zoom! teeth whitening should be labeled as inhuman torture due to the day long horrific pain that not even vicodin will help?? Well I do. I remember it well.

Anyway, as an avid coffee drinker, my teeth tend to get not-so-white after a year or so of not whitening them, even though I use the whitening toothpaste. I had a lump of fear stuck in my throat for the last year or so, because ALL the whitening products made my teeth feel like someone was jabbing me in the grill with a machete. Enter Crest White Strips for 5 minutes a day…gradual teeth whitening on a daily basis – AND IT DOESN’T HURT…AND IT WORKS!! Hallelujah for that, because I was really willing to deal with yellow teeth.

Definitely FTW (For the Win!) is Patricia Wexler’s at home microbrasion / resurfacing system. It came with the sampler pack I purchased for $65 (minus my $15 off coupon from Bath & Body Works) so essentially it was a great deal, AND a great product. My skin feels like a baby’s bottom AND it didn’t cost me any facial money!

Ok people, here is a quick rundown on the Faux Glow spots in the Valley and Camarillo. The tanning salon that had the walk – in mystic tan went out of biz and closed down. I think it was called Pacific Tans.

Camarillo’s Summer Breeze tan salon is still open, and still doing $35 full body spray tans, but the last 2 times I have been there, I’ve gotten blotchy and streaky orangy glow. Not a good look!

Teena had a really good experience at Golden Pod in the Topanga Mall, but as soon as I went to get my $35 full body spray tan, I found that it had closed up shop and went out of business the day before. Bummer!!

Ulimate Skin just sent an email for a ‘special’ for a $65 spray tan. GET OUTTA HERE! Thats double the price of the going rate!!

So, with all the hub-bub of what’s available, and what’s still around, I was able to find a place called Miami Tan in Woodland Hills that has an airbrush tan for $40. I booked an appointment…here’s to hoping I am not an oompaloompa this weekend…and even more hoping to not being a striped & streaky oompaloompa!

Minus the outdoor pool, which LA Fitness in Northridge does not have, LA Fitness in Woodland Hills is officially the worst gym I have been to, to date. Just terrible. It’s even worse than the 24 Hour Fitness in Panorama City, and that’s pretty hard to beat in suck-factor.

Remember when I was skeptical of the Latisse product?? Good thing my BFF Brianette didn’t listen to me and ended up getting it anyway, because it totally worked! The other day we were sitting at dinner, and I commented on her falsies and how natural they looked and she said “NO! it’s the Latisse!!” She also mentioned that they grew so long that she already had to TRIM them!!! Can you imagine?? Having lashes so long that you have to trim them?? Wow. I am totally a believer now, and you all know how hard it is for me to believe anything on the word of the advertising agency.

There is a downfall though, if you can call it a downfall – and that is that Latisse will only grow your lashes LONGER, not grow new lashes, so if you have thin lashes, you will have long thin lashes, you know what I mean? Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately actually, I have really long lashes, but I wear the falsies/get extensions to thicken them up.

Latisse will run you approx $150 per bottle, and you can stretch out the bottle to last around 2 months. I will have Brianette post on how to do that. I will also have her send in a close up pic so you can see her fabulously long lashes!
