Kat Von D strikes Again!

Ok, so I can’t keep hating on my Latina sister Kat Von Dee – although I thought her first makeup line was sub-par. BUT I just heard that she is coming out with a dual line with Chanel? YSL? I can’t remember right now, but I will do some googling and find out what the 411 is for sure and post it in the morning. Happy election eve everyone!!!

Hot Showers

Hmm. I never knew this, but apparantly, it isn’t too good for your skin to take hot showers during the winter months because it dries out your skin. Seriously?? That explains alot. I’m going to have to start making my way to warm showers instead. Bummer!

Murad’s Energizing Pomegranite Lip Gloss

Last week while getting my hair done, my lips were dry of course. There was fire in the air, and the wind conditions were killing me. Of course, I had zero lip balm on me. Georgie grabbed me a tube of Murad’s Energizing Pomegranite gloss. It went on nice and smelled lovely, but within 30 minutes, I needed another application because my lips were beyond dryer than they had been before. I grabbed the tube and smeared another coat on. This continued for most of the day. I started realizing that I kind of was putting a top coat on my lips instead of addressing the moisturizing issue, which was probably sealing in the problem rather than aiding it at all.

I wanted to write a really bad review about how half the product added to the dryness factor, but I suppose the real problem was me trying to use a gloss as a moisturizer and that isn’t fair to the product.

SO my review is still pending on the gloss to use it as an actual gloss and not a moisturizer. Lessons are always learned, fellow glamcats!
